Martin Novak was born in the small town of Petrovice in the Czech Republic. As a young boy, Martin had a passion for sports, a keen sense of adventure, and a love for building and design.

He was educated as a machinist and shortly after graduating he left his town to explore the world. He landed in Canada in 2014 with only a few hundred dollars and he knew very little English. Within a few years, Martin became fluent in English, met his future wife, started a family and became a Canadian citizen. He also found the time to take up golf which quickly became a passion.

Martin worked as a machinist for 5 years before opening his own machine shop in 2020. He specialized in prototypes for the pharmaceutical and robotics industry and quickly earned an exemplary reputation for his acute attention to detail and workmanship.

As a proud Canadian with a passion for golf, it became Martin's goal to develop a 100% Canadian made, machine milled putter of the highest quality....and Cove Golf was born.
